Gerard Gaidosch is a modern impressionist from Marseilles, France. His generous use of color combined with a primitive technique create a profound texture combination frequently paying homage to masters such as Picasso, van Gogh and Gauguin.
Gerard's inspiration is drawn from the natural world and his life experiences. As a small child, hours spent in his mother's restaurant exposed him to the fragrance and vibrancy of Provencal fields and fruits of La Mer, as seen here in his oil painting, "Bouillabaisse".
Recollections of his years of traveling, first as a professional jockey in the international thoroughbred racing arena and now as a trainer of thoroughbreds, drive his expressions on canvas. "vibrancy" and "passion" are apt words that come to mind for the viewer.
Gerard now lives on the island of Maui in Hawaii, which is the closest he can conjure to his beloved Southern France. Please visit the gallery. If you're interested in purchasing some of Gerard's art please contact us.
